As an emerging technology hub Unterschleißheim is seeing a new exciting development. Next to the business campus on Landsruther Straße, an office park with four buildings including a hotel and dining facilities is being built. Open space design intends to integrate the office park harmoniously into its natural environment. For this purpose, the property boundaries are designed close to nature with native bushes, shrubs and trees. All existing trees are preserved and integrated into the concept. Rainwater accumulates in troughs and seeps into the soil, sustaining the vegetation. Office workers and their visitors can take a dip in the natural swimming pond, play table tennis and use a variety of sports equipment. Open restaurant spaces at the centre of the site and at the hotel appear more formal. High beds with perennial plantations are lining the buildings.
