A fabric spun from bright granite slabs and shining bronze bands flows through the inner city lanes of Wiesbaden. Simple water features and groups of trees stripped down to their bare essentials have been harmoniously integrated like pieces of appliqué. The surface of the water reflects people, buildings, clouds, birds and the city’s characteristic plane trees.
At night, the simple light columns and pendant luminaires envelop the streets in a warm, atmospheric light and invite people to go window-shopping. The simplicity and elegance of the individual design elements, including the patina that has formed on the surfaces over the years, facilitates a multifaceted and long-term use of the lanes of Wiesbaden.
